As a part of their continued efforts to provide cleaner energy at their hospitals and medical buildings, Sutter Health, working with ENGIE Services U.S. (“ENGIE”), “flipped the switch” on a new solar energy program at Sutter’s Yuba City campus. The solar power installations will provide 56 percent of the campus’ electrical power and a PPA agreement with ENGIE locks Sutter in with a favorable energy rate for 20 years, assisting in Sutter’s mission to provide quality healthcare at consistently affordable prices, all while helping the environment.
With a flip of a switch, Tulare County is one step closer to using solar energy at several facilities. The project has been several years in the making with ENGIE Services U.S. Tulare County signed a 25-year contract with ENGIE that’s expected to save the county $40 million in electricity during that time.
Suisun City leaders kicked off a renewable energy program with ENGIE Services U.S. that will help the city meet its climate action goals and reduce energy costs. The program will use solar energy, energy efficiency, and LED lighting upgrades to reduce the city’s energy use and generate clean energy. Over the life of the project, this program is expected to save $12MM — funds that can be redirected into other city and neighborhood services.
